The Help Desk Software Best suited for us turned out to be Cynergy Software. We searched the internet and tried 2 or 3 demos before we settled on Cynergy. It is built on the ASP.net platform and uses SQL for the backend database. We use a lot of Linux in our company, but wanted something that we could tie into our primary SQL Server database. We have a primary ERP system that we use for our primary manufacturing and order input system, but it didn’t have a ticketing system that we could implement for our customer support and service. Cynergy not only tied into the ERP system wit a web service that allowed us to update the database on a nightly basis, but it recognized every change that we made in the data, and updated Cynergy when desired.
Cynergy also had a robust Asset Management module that allowed us to keep track of our larger assets that were deployed in the field so we could perform the needed check and balance required on the software of the asset. This saved us a great deal of time in the field as well as in the office as we performed remote checks and testing.
Lastly, the Cynergy Expense Manager allowed our techs in the field to keep track of their travel expenses in a web based ticketing system which made the reimbursement process shorter and more timely. We have been using Cynergy for several years, and simply would not use anything else.
