Cynergy is sold per "Named User" Licensing. Named user licensing allows a copy of the software to be installed on the server but limits the number of users that can gain simultaneous access. Site Licensing is available allowing unlimited access. End user level access is unlimited

Since we are a web based application, our installation process varies slightly from a standard "off the shelf" CD installation. Our software is downloaded from a secure FTP site. A CD of the software is available upon request. It is licensed through internal mechanisms programmed to read the number of users on the system at any given time. There is no limit to the number of end-users that can log tickets on the system, or be able to view their own tickets. User level security permissions control access and functions with in Cynergy Software. These user levels dictate the use of a named user license.

You have three options for installing the software.

• A CD will ship to you upon purchase of the software. You may install the software utilizing this disc.
• Open Remote access (RDP, VNC, LogMeIn) to your server via a broadband connection, we will install the software and its dependencies on your server. You will be required to give our engineers root access to your server to perform this install. (For an install on your system to be successful please read the details below.)
• You can ship the server to us; we will install the software on your server and return to you in the packaging that we receive it in. There is no charge for installation. The return shipping should be prepaid by the customer. This is our preferred method, since it allows us to test the system prior to shipping. (Make sure your server is properly doubled boxed and insured prior to shipping.)

Minimum Hardware Profile for 10 Users:

• Intel/AMD Processor 1GHz
• 1GB DDR2 RAM
• Dedicated Server
• 40GB+ Hard Drive (Most of this space is reserved for uploads. If a site relies heavily on uploads a larger drive is recommended.)
• 10/100 Ethernet NIC
• 1MBps+ Business Grade Internet Connection for Web Access**

Recommended Hardware Profile for 10 users:

• Intel/AMD Processor 1.5GHz+
• 2GB DDR2 RAM+
• Dedicated Server
• 80GB RAID 1 (Adjust for space requirements)
• 10/100/1000 Ethernet NIC
• 3MBps+ Business Grade Internet Connection for Web Access**

Required Software Profile:

• Windows Server 2000; however, Windows Server 2003 Standard with service pack 1 recommended (Web is supported, but database will have to be hosted elsewhere as Web Edition will not allow a DB instance.)
• Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Standard or 2005 Standard
• Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express (Standard and Enterprise are supported) (Express edition provided by installer)*
• Microsoft ASP.NET utilizing .NET 2.0 running on IIS 5+
• Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Management Studio Express (Provided by installer)*

* If Cynergy Software technicians are performing the installation these items will be provided and installed. If, however, the client is performing a self-installation the above items will need to be acquired and configured.

** Routers will need to be configured by the client's IT Administrator or Department to allow for external access.
