Server for Cynergy Software use

The following are the general hardware and software specs that you need for Cynergy. You can always go above these specs to be able to run Cynergy, but it doesn’t take a lot of system to run the Software. Cynergy runs on 2000-2007 Windows OS, and can use any standard internet browser such as Windows Explorer or Firefox. We are optimized for Windows Explorer (latest version) and work on MS SQL (latest version) We will install Cynergy on your server using Remote access such as LOGMEIN or GoToMeeting. If you do not have access software, don’t worry about it, we do. It only takes us about 30 minutes to install the software and all of the components. You are welcome to watch if desired, and when completed, you should run a backup then burn to a DVD or CD for archiving. Updates are generally done over the web for convenience to the Customer Support Software

We recommend that you give us a dedicated server for security and speed. The Operating System should be Windows 2003 (32 BIT). We will install Microsoft SQL Express with the install and IIS. You can run Cynergy on MS SQL, but until you get to 100,000 tickets/contacts it would be overkill.

You can feel free to add the server to your current Domain if desired, before or after the installation, however in order to complete the installation we will need local administrator access to the server. Also make sure you have your Operating System CD or Image available if needed. . We prefer for the server to NOT have a server role set. However, if one is set we can still install Cynergy however, it will require additional time for the installation.

The Cynergy Web Server will authenticate to your Existing Domain Controller. Do Not Set the Server ROLEs upon install. (you can set these later)

CAN I USE A VIRTUAL SERVER?
A. Yes, however ALL virtual servers run slower than the real thing, thus expect a slower response/connection time.

This is an off the shelf DELL computer that sells for $478.00 (not counting Windows OS, or extended warranty, onsite service etc;) We’re not endorsing Dell as a preferred brand, you can use HP, IBM, or whatever you prefer, this is simply for minimum specs.
